Lance Confirms He and Bush “Coming Together” with the “Right Message”

FANWOOD – Yesterday, George Bush tried to bailout Leonard Lance’s flailing campaign with a lavish fundraiser in Colts Neck. Lance Campaign Manager Amanda Woloshen told the Star-Ledger that the event saw “supporters coming together behind candidates who have the right message.” [Star-Ledger, 9/23/08]

President Bush came to New Jersey yesterday taking a heavily guarded route through the sprawling estates and horse farm country in Colts Neck for a congressional fundraiser.
The route never took him past the two dozen or so protesters, several of whom were laid off in recent months and carried signs venting their fury with the administration.

While GOP congressional candidates across the country are keeping their distance from President Bush, the chief executive is expected to visit New Jersey Monday to raise funds for several candidates, including Hunterdon County Sen. Leonard Lance, who is seeking the open seat in the 7th Congressional District.
