Stender raises over $1 million this cycle
April 4, 2008
SCOTCH PLAINS – Proving the incredible strength and grassroots support behind her candidacy for New Jersey’s 7th District, Democrat Linda Stender announced today having raised nearly $1,040,000 for the cycle and $430,000 in the first quarter of 2008. As of March 31, Stender had $840,000 cash on hand.
“I’m proud to have received such overwhelming support for our campaign for change,” Stender said. “The people of New Jersey’s 7th District have sent a message that they’re tired of the failed policies of the Bush Administration and want real, lasting change. In Congress, I’ll work to move our country forward and back on the right track. This election is about creating more good-paying jobs and stabilizing our economy; bringing our troops home from Iraq and demanding timetables for withdrawal within a year; providing every American access to quality, affordable healthcare; and developing a real national energy policy that ends our dependence on foreign oil and brings down gas prices. It’s because of those issues – real issues that matter to real people here in New Jersey – that I remain focused on securing the resources and building the organization needed to win in November.”
