Linda believes we need a real, sustainable national energy policy that reduces our dangerous dependence on foreign oil, cuts the price we pay at the pump and reduces greenhouse gases to protect our environment for future generations. Linda will fight to invest in renewable energies and create new, green jobs for New Jersey's working families.

Linda knows that climate change is not just an inconvenient truth, but also a grave threat to our environment, our wallets and our way of life. In the state legislature, she wrote the New Jersey Global Warming Response Act - creating the nation's strictest reduction standards to curb global warming emissions. Unlike other state measures that mandate reductions by 2020, this groundbreaking legislation requires an 80% reduction of global warming emission levels by 2050. Scientists say these limits are necessary to avoid the worst impacts of global warming.

In Congress, Linda will follow the advice of leading scientists... and not the campaign contributions of special interests and Big Oil money. Linda will focus on innovation to move America towards clean, renewable sources of energy - specifically in fields of transportation and electricity production, which are the two largest sources of global warming pollution in New Jersey.
